Alpha meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at the church for 10 weeks. The next Alpha Course begins on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
6:30-9:00 PM - Dinner and a video, followed by dessert and open group discussion. There will also be a weekend session focusing on the Holy Spirit scheduled near the end of the course.
Alpha is Christianity 101, providing knowledge
of Jesus as well as an opportunity to experience
the power of the Holy Spirit. Non-believers
and new Christians learn the basics of
our faith in a non-confrontational manner.
Mature Christians can also benefit from
a refreshing of the spirit.
Alpha is communal-we eat together and share
normal social time together. it is also relational-you
are encouraged to be real and even assert
things that are counter to Christianity.
The Alpha leaders are trained to listen and
ask more questions.
It is a 10-week course that is the cornerstone
of the "Inviting " part of our mission.
A larger ALpha course is held at the church,
while smaller groups sometimes meet in individual
homes.

Wanted:
Set-Up
and Clean-Up:
We are always looking to expand our
team of people who would be available
to help set up or clean up the Sanctuary
after the meal.
Cooks/Kitchen:
We always need people willing to prepare
salads or desserts, bring them to the
church and/or help serve.
Leaders:
We are looking for a mix of mature
and new Christians that are able to
listen more than talk. Mature Christians
provide guidance, experience and Biblical
reference. new Christians bring enthusiasm!
Training is provided, but you must
attend Alpha prior to becoming a leader.
